Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)

Haritaki, also known as Black Myrobalan or Chebulic Myrobalan, is a species of Terminalia native to India. Commonly called Harad or Haritaki in India, it belongs to the Combretaceae family. The tree produces small, ribbed, nut-like fruits that range in color from yellow to orange-brown. After harvesting, the fruits are carefully shade-dried for several days until the moisture content drops below 10%.
